Claus Vamvakidis was born in 1966 to a German mother and a Greek father. He lived in Munich until the age of 49, when he moved to Spain.
Although fascinated by art throughout his life, other pursuits often kept him from developing his own artistic practice. A self-taught painter, he began to devote himself seriously to painting in Barcelona in 2019.
Through his expressionist approach, he transforms his emotions and states of mind into works of art as a means of communicating with others.
